Strong Character, Female

Saw this today, and wanted to share.

See also, this:

I think the major problem here is that women were clamoring for "strong female characters," and male writers misunderstood. They thought the feminists meant {Strong Female} Characters. The feminists meant {Strong Characters}, Female.

Interested in the discussion, but I can't for the life of me see the image. It's taking a long time to load, then eventually giving me nothing. (I'm on Firefox.)

Ah crap, sorry about that. Here is the link.

If you can't get it there, try from here:

It's weird - I'm on FF as well.

I saw this on other places besides your blog, so don't take it personally when I say that (as you no doubt saw already) I had some SERIOUS issues with this whole damn chart

Yeah, I saw. TBH, I didn't really think too much about the chart, beyond "Hey, yeah, it would be nice for there to be better characters for women", after I read the whole "strong character, female" thing.

It's a shame, because like I say, I started reading that thinking, "Wow, this is really cool that somebody did this," but then, the actual execution was so bad that I wished they hadn't bothered.

I just didn't want you to think I was sniping at you for posting it.
